Residential Treatment

Our Medically Monitored Inpatient Program provides a highly structured, 24-hour treatment environment for individuals who need increased medical, psychiatric, and clinical support as they begin their recovery.

Who This Level of Care Supports

This level of care is designed for individuals whose substance use, withdrawal concerns, medical needs, mental health symptoms, or overall instability require closer monitoring and support than a traditional residential setting can provide.

What Treatment Looks Like

Clients receive comprehensive clinical programming alongside integrated medical and psychiatric services, 24-hour nursing availability, and ongoing evaluation of their physical and behavioral health needs.

Recreation and wellness activities are also strongly emphasized at this level of care, providing clients with healthy outlets for stress, opportunities for positive social interaction, and structured activity as they work toward greater physical and emotional stability.

Length of Stay and Goals

The average length of stay in this program is approximately 14 days, although treatment is individualized based on each client's needs and progress. The goal of treatment at this level is to help clients achieve the medical, psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral stability necessary to participate successfully in ongoing substance use treatment.

During this period, clients begin developing healthy routines, coping skills, recovery awareness, and increased engagement in the treatment process.

Moving Forward

Once sufficient stabilization has been achieved, the treatment team works with the client to transition into our residential level of care, where the focus can shift from stabilization toward more intensive therapeutic work and continued recovery.

Where This Fits in the Continuum

Stoa offers four levels of care. Clients step down as they build stability, and treatment is individualized at every stage.

  1. Medically Monitored Inpatient
  2. Residential Treatment
  3. Transitional Residential
